Job Description:
The Organization is looking for Senior Tax Analyst who will be responsible to provide operational guidance and direction to lower level staff, including training, coaching, and work scheduling; provides input to manager concerning performance evaluations and related discipline procedures.
Responsibilities
* Prepares Princess US federal and state income tax returns and quarterly FIN 48 tax positions. Preapres multi-state sales and excise tax returns.
* Performs complex tax accounting activities related to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant standard and nonstandard reports and statements.
* Examines a variety of documents to verify accuracy of computations and to ascertain that all transactions are properly supported according to established accounting standards.
* Performs tax analysis, forecasting, and reconciliation associated with general accounting and cost accounting. Prepares accurate and timely journal entries.
* Prepares budgets, reports, schedules, exhibits and summaries.
* Reconciles tax reports and financial data. Identifies and reports on inconsistencies or errors and suggests solutions. Assists with accounting transactions during monthly close.
* Assists in documenting and updating accounting tax policies and procedures.
* Analyzes and interprets data to meet management informational needs and to identify trends or deviations from standards. Reviews and evaluates process flows and activities to identify control weaknesses or opportunities for increased efficiencies. Provides recommendations to improve controls and/or efficiencies.
Requirements
* Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent work experience.
* Four years related experience in tax accounting or finance.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and advanced proficiency in Excel. Working knowledge of computerized accounting systems is preferred.
* Ability to apply analytical skills with an attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines while working in a team or group environment.
