Senior Sales AnalystDepartment:SalesDescription:BASIC PURPOSE:This position provides robust and accurate development of analysis and reporting methods as it pertains to sales systems and related processes. Provides analytical support to systems that compliment global and domestic sales regions. Liaise with other business units and makes recommendations for the attainment of revenue and strategic objectives.Requirements:REQUIRED EDUCATION:Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing, Finance or a closely related field of study.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:Minimum 5 years analytical sales experience with operating systems and data management tools.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Advanced Microsoft Office Suite techniques sufficient to create pivot tables, lookup formulas, logical and database functions.Knowledge of Microsoft Access for ad hoc reporting, primarily for the creation of driver tables and sales databases.Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn Hyperion systems necessary for collection of data for reporting and analysis.Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn reservation system software for daily travel agency analysis and updates.Sound budgeting and forecasting skills.Strong problem-solving skills to identify roadblocks, analyze issues and solutions.Ability to consider the global perspective of multiple business units' needs when designing reports.Ability to leverage knowledge and decisions across the company by partnering with the management team to share information and key findings as appropriate.Ability to handle and maintain confidential proprietary company information.Ability to shift priorities according to business demands and handle multiple tasks and projects.Effective interpersonal skills to establish and maintain strong working relationships with various internal customers.Responsibilities:Creates and implements enhanced methods of integrating sales data from various global systems. Automates processes and finds methods for standardizing reports to make strategic reports readily available for management and executive level analysis of Norwegian Cruise Line's sales performance. Makes recommendations for future enhancements to reporting automation, processes and procedures. Documents all processes and data driven procedures consistent with Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance while maintaining data and system integrity. Acts as subject matter expert for data warehouse group as it relates to business development processes and procedures and how it affects the system and makes evaluations for future objectives.Analyzes sales budgeting and expenditure results to gain detailed understanding of current business conditions while making recommendations for future business objectives in turn allowing senior management to make sound decisions that lead to the attainment of increased revenue and objectives.Gathers and collects sales data to perform expense analyses for global sales and reservations business units. Measures operating expense for the group and regularly performs ROI analysis on programs. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecast reports; assist in the preparation and presentation of budget/forecast presentation.Initiates frequent mining of travel agency database to validate information and maintain data integrity. Works with systems technical team to implement changes in the most efficient and accurate manner. Develops modeling for cost of sales analysis. Systematically stores relevant components to cost of sale to facilitate automated, routine analysis and reporting.Coordinates the consolidation of budgets for executive management in sales and reservations. Acquires data and underlying assumptions and creates long range plans, budget and forecast for presentation and review with senior management.
