These photos are produced on a "no obligation to purchase basis" to the passengers. Other functions the ship's photographer will capture are special events during the voyage including cocktail parties and dinners hosted by the Captain and a range of different backgrounds and scenes are offered for portraiture shots using the ship and its beautiful interiors as a backdrop which proves very popular amongst the passengers as a cherished reminder of the cruise and the ship. The Cruise Ship's Photography staff is also available to passengers in the retail centre to offer free assistance and advice on the use of cameras, both newly purchased and the testing of equipment which hasn't been used recently. All of this plus the utilisation of the latest mini lab, photographic technologies, high quality products and a friendly attentive service in line with high standards and expectations.Cruise Ship Photo Managers: Oversees entire operations of the photo department. Accounting all revenue procedures. Manages Staff. Photographs ships activities. Reports directly to Hotel Manager. Must have three to five years professional photography/managerial experience and an outgoing personality with a blend of salesmanship.Food and accommodation provided. Free Medical Insurance. Single cabin facilities.Salary: (approx £1,250 - £1,600 per month) plus commissionCruise Ship Assistant Photo Manager. Responsible for the day to day operations of the Photo department. Photographs activities. Reports directly to the photo manager. Required to have two to three years professional photography/managerial experience and an outgoing personality with a blend of salesmanship.Food and accommodation provided. Free Medical Insurance. Share cabin facilities. Possible promotion to Photo ManagerSalary: (approx £950 - £1,200 per month) plus commissionCruise Ship Photographers. Professional, customer oriented attitude and willingness to learn essential.Shooting, processing and selling of digital photography on board is required. These include, but are not limited to, guest pictures of embarkation, portraits, gangways at the ports of call, dining room, pool/deck, and weddings. Selling of retail items such as cameras, batteries, digital media, folios, albums etc.The shipboard photographer reports directly to the Photo Manager and must adhere to all shipboard rules and regulations, including the dress code.English language and photographic experience required along with plenty of enthusiasm and personality. Possible promotion to Assistant Photo Manager.Salary: (approx £900 – £1,100 per month) plus commissionTHE ABOVE SALARIES ARE AVERAGE SALARIES. IN ADDITION YOUR FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION IS INCLUDED AND YOUR SALARY IS NORMALLY TAX FREE IF YOUR CONTRACT IS FOR SIX MONTHS AND OVER.
