Coordinating the ship clearance in the various ports of call. Participates in the embarkation process by collecting immigration documentation to determine validity of documents and refers unusual documentation to Hotel Director and/or Port Agent for final approval or denial.Meets ports agents and customs and immigration officials at the gangway at all ports to deliver documentation to clear the cruise ship and maintains a professional working relationship with port agents and customs and immigration officials. Maintains current working knowledge of customs and immigration regulations and procedures. Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly and distinctly.Salary range (Approx £2,800 - £3,100) per monthCruise Ship Assistant Purser: The Assistant Purser (Junior Officer) represents cruise line policies and procedures and is a key “front line” contact for the passengers on board the cruise ships. Similar to duties at the front desk of a fine hotel, they provide guest services, information, exchanges traveller’s checks and foreign currency, posts mail, provides safety deposit box service. Provides banking services for passengers, assists with resolving guest complaints and any additional duties that may be assigned by the Chief Purser. Responsible for assisting the CFM Administrator with the Sign-ON/OFF process in the property management system and reconciles the active CFM list to ensure that it is accurate.Assists with general office work and clerical dutiesPerforms bank duties on a regular basis and is responsible for the “bank” cash float and balancing of the float on a daily basisMust be able to read, write and speak English clearly and distinctly.Salary range (Approx: £1,500 - £1,800 per month)Cruise Ship Junior Assistant Purser: (Receptionist) - previous hotel experience and/or degree preferable. Fluent English Language skills required and speaking other languages is a plusSalary: Approx: £1,000 – £1,200 per monthCruise Ship Crew purser: Handles the administration of the crew: sign-on and sign-off, cabin assignments, crew identification cards etc – Excellent administration background essential. Accounting background helpful. Fluent English Language skills requiredSalary range: (Approx: £1,600 - £1,800 per month)Cruise Ship Cost Accountant: Main responsibility is inventory control and managerial reporting, including generating daily food and supply cost. Also weekly receiving and inventorying of all items in food, bar and photo departments. A major part of the duties expected of the cost accountant is carried out on personal computers. English Language skills required.Salary range (Approx: £1,800 - £2,100 per month)Cruise Ship Revenue Accountant: Main responsibility is the operation of cashless cabin charge system and NCR or MICROS register system the duties include early morning closing of registers, running reports, balancing daily revenue and generating passenger statements. Fluent English skills required.Salary range: (Approx: £1,800 - £2,100 per month)Cruise Ship PA/Secretary: All senior officers require Secretaries/PA’s. Must be over 21 years of age. Excellent secretarial skills and computer literate.Salary range: (Approx: £1,250 - £1,400 per month)There are many other administration jobs on board this is just a small selection of available jobs.THE ABOVE SALARIES ARE AVERAGE SALARIES.
