Job description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist the Hotel Director in the day to day operations of the ship, strategic planning, forecasting, crew management and welfare and overall guest satisfaction.
• Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by overseeing the delivery of quality guest services and amenities within corporate standards.
• Review and following up on all maintenance issues within the hotel department.
• Review day to day financial transactions and to ensure they are correct before the HD reviews them for final approval.
• Walk the ship once a day and review guest service, cleanliness of crew areas.
Job requirements
All applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
• 5 or more years of management experience in an upscale hotel or cruise ship in the areas of food and beverage, guest relations, housekeeping, entertainment or human resources.
• Very strong communication, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
• Very strong management skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of the principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning and execution.
• Strong desire to understand marine functions, in order to perform at the highest level and communicate with the Marine team onboard
• Be able to speak, read, and write English
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Applicants must be able to accommodate a 4 months on / 2 months off contract schedule
• Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• All international applicants must have the ability to obtain a C1/D1 Visa
